What is Stephen Ministries?
Stephen Ministry is a Christ-centered care ministry that equips congregation members to provide confidential, one-to-one support to those experiencing difficulties such as grief, illness, job loss, or other life challenges. Since 1975, this ministry has offered a practical, proven framework for congregations to extend the care of Christ through trained laypeople called Stephen Ministers.

Who are Stephen Ministers?
Stephen Ministers are compassionate individuals—members of our own congregation—who complete extensive training and commit to walking alongside those in need. Their role is not to fix, but to listen, pray, and support with a caring, Christ-centered presence. Supervised and supported by church leadership, they serve quietly and faithfully, helping care receivers experience God’s love during times of pain or uncertainty.
Whether you’re going through a difficult time or know someone who is, Stephen Ministry can help. We all encounter seasons of hardship, and Stephen Ministers are ready to meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and provide a steady spiritual presence throughout the journey.
You don’t need to walk alone. A Stephen Minister can be there to remind you of God’s love and offer hope in the midst of struggle.
