The Gospel that Transforms
You can’t hurry the rising of yeast.
You can help it. You can create the right environment.
But you cannot rush it.
Luke 13:20–21 “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
You can’t hurry the rising of yeast.
You can help it. You can create the right environment.
But you cannot rush it.
Two days ago, we arrived in Abuja and stayed at the Peace Media Hotel.
Then we boarded a flight from Abuja to Gombe—on Air Peace.
We stayed on peace. We traveled on peace.
And today, we stand together in Gombe, still wrapped in peace.
Because deep down, each one of us longs for peace. Each one of us needs peace.
In the beginning, creation was good, and humanity was very good, made in the image of God to reflect His glory to the world. Adam and Eve were the first image-bearers, entrusted with the task of representing God.

Years ago, while my extended family and I were on a river cruise, I saw an older man using a walker to get around. He looked interesting, so, I asked, “Where are you from?” He replied, “Question 2!” In conversation, he shared with me that we primarily ask three questions, What’s your name? Where are…
Jesus, Unhook Us from the Crazy! It was the final week of Jesus’ life—the week we now call Holy. Two days before the Passover meal, three days before He would be crucified, Jesus sat with His disciples on the Mount of Olives. The world around them was chaotic, oppressive, and uncertain. They came to Him,…
Families have stories we tell and retell. These stories shape us, helping us understand who we are and where we come from. They explain the quirks, the values, and even the mistakes that define us. I remember coming home from a family visit in Georgia. One morning, I woke up to hear my dad sharing…
When I think of Mary, the mother of Jesus, there is a song that comes to mind: (Lyrics) Just a small-town girl, living in a lonely world. And that’s where the similarity ends. Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey A few years ago, Pastor Judy served a church that hosted a living nativity on open ground near a high…
